The Hotel Association of Canada (HAC) is a professional industry association representing the lodging industry in Canada. Its membership encompasses the provincial and territorial hotel associations, the corporate hotel chains, independent hotels, motels and resorts and the many suppliers to the hotel industry. HAC’s objective is to assist both its national and international members as they endeavor to enhance their competitiveness and achieve their bottom line. The HAC accomplishes this through the collection and dissemination of information, research, advocacy, education, and operational support services designed to assist its members.

Canadians Continue To Go South For Cheap Air Tickets
Travel Press Feb. 14, 2013 - It's a trend that's gaining increasing momentum as Canadians continue to head south of the border in search of cheap air tickets. In its newly released 2013 Canadian Travel Intentions survey, the Hotel Association of Canada (HAC) found that 18% of those surveyed had travelled to the US to buy cheaper airline tickets in 2012-- an increase of 3% over the previous year -- and 32% of those questioned indicated they would do it in 2013...

Business, Leisure Travel Picking Up: HAC
Travel Press Feb. 2, 2013 - The latest results from the 2013 HAC Canadian Travel Intentions Survey show that business and leisure travel is projected to be up 2% in 2013. Eighty-two per cent of business travellers said they would be doing more or the same amount of business travel in Canada in 2013 as they did in 2012 with the highest percentage coming from Ontario. Eighty-four per cent of leisure travellers said they will be travelling more or the same for vacation this year...
